Scattered showers through Saturday morning

Weather for the weekend is looking pretty good, especially after we get through noon Saturday.

Showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible Saturday morning, especially mid-to-late morning.  Afterward, a cold front will pass, pushing higher humidity out of southeast Nebraska.

One asterisk to Saturday morning and afternoon will be winds.  We may experience an increase in the winds, gusting to 35 mph during the morning and to 25 mph during the afternoon.

Otherwise, expect to see mostly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the lower 80s in the afternoon.

Temperatures will drop to the middle and upper 50s by early Sunday morning under partly cloudy skies.

High pressure will build in, keeping cooler air – and lower humidity – around for southeast Nebraska.

Sunday looks to be a really nice day, even with mostly cloudy skies.  Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80.
