‘Sea of Red Sellout’ pulls in more than $600K
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Big Ten Conference limited the number of fans allowed into Memorial Stadium, but Big Red still found a way to keep fans involved.
The Sea of Red Sellout was launched, offering Huskers the opportunity to purchase a seat in the stadium, for their cardboard cutout to sit comfortably. According to the University of Nebraska- Lincoln (UNL), all proceeds will go to the athletics department to help support student-athletes.
