The eight-year-old girl is believed to have been swept away by a river at Schramm Park last Thursday.
The search to find Tarie Price has now spanned one week.
The eight-year-old girl is believed to have been swept away by a river at Schramm Park last Thursday. Authorities shifted their efforts last week to “recovery mode.”
Multiple law enforcement and other emergency agencies resumed the search at 8 a.m., searching from the Missouri River to the park and on land from the park to Hwy. 50.
The search efforts include two cadaver dogs provided by private citizens, drones, and a team from the Lincoln Fire Department’s Urban Search & Rescue Team/Nebraska Task Force 1.
After an influx of volunteers offered to help with the search, Sarpy County officials are now asking only for volunteers with specialized equipment such as air boats, cadaver dogs, sonar equipment or drones.
The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office is requesting that anyone who was at the scene at the time of the incident on Thursday, June 11th around 3:00 P.M. and may have witnessed the event or has pertinent information to call the Sheriff’s hot line at 402-593-1593 Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. to 4:45 P.M.
