Semi loses control on icy road, strikes South Dakota Highway Patrol car

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A semi on Thursday lost control on an icy road and crashed into a South Dakota Highway Patrol car on Interstate 90.

The patrol says that there were only minor injuries in the crash, which happened as a trooper was providing traffic control for another crash near Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Deputies from the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office are now investigating the crash.

The Nebraska State Patrol shared the photos on its Facebook page and reminded drivers to slow down and move over when coming across emergency vehicles working roadside.
