Sentencing set for county commissioner accused of theft
An April 1 sentencing has been scheduled for a county commissioner in northeast Nebraska accused of stealing an item from the county.

NELIGH, Neb. (AP) — An April 1 sentencing has been scheduled for a county commissioner in northeast Nebraska accused of stealing an item from the county.
Antelope County Court records say Eli Jacob, 66, pleaded no contest to official misconduct. Prosecutors dropped a misdemeanor theft charge.
Jacob, of Clearwater, was accused of taking a heater of some sort from a county shed on Jan. 1, 2019. A prosecutor has said Jacob returned the item.
