Severe potential to end the week

Dry conditions are likely for most of eastern Nebraska overnight as storms to the west are expected to dissipate before reaching the area. Partly cloudy skies will allow temperatures to only drop to the lower 70s by the early morning hours tomorrow with muggy conditions. The heat sticks around as we end the work week tomorrow with highs in the lower 90s and feels like temperatures in the mid-90s. But heat relief is on the way thanks to a cool front that will slowly dip southeastward throughout the day tomorrow and increase cloud coverage. A line of potentially severe storms will develop along the cool front any time after 5pm and last until around midnight. After the front is gone, the weekend will be mild with highs in the lower 80s and dry conditions.
