Seward county deputies find 40 pounds of marijuana, fentanyl inside trailer tires
The Seward County sheriff's office announced it seized 30 pounds of marijuana and 10.5 pounds of fentanyl when it stopped a car hauler tractor on I-80 last week.

SEWARD, Neb. (KLKN) — The Seward County sheriff’s office announced it seized 30 pounds of marijuana and 10.5 pounds of fentanyl when it stopped a car hauler tractor on I-80 last week.
On Wednesday, Dec. 8, deputies from the Seward County HSI CITF-W Task Force stopped the trailer going eastbound on I-80 at the Seward interchange.
Deputies became suspicious of a Chevrolet Trailblazer that was located on the car hauler and its paperwork. During the inspection, deputies located three (3) tires that contained contraband. The tires were taken to a local repair shop and further inspected. That’s when, the marijuana and pounds of Fentanyl were located inside of the tires.
A follow up investigation led to the arrest of 3 individuals in Ohio and the seizure of $25,000 and an AK-47.
