Sheriff: 2 arrested in traffic stop with 3 pounds of meth, other drugs

Two men were arrested after allegedly being found with more than three pounds of meth and other drugs in traffic stop, the Seward County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. 

SCSO said the stop occurred around 11:20 a.m. on I-80 when deputies saw a vehicle following too closely. 

A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 3.05 pounds of crystal meth, 24 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and drug paraphernalia, the release said. 

The street value of the drugs is estimated at $50,000. 

The driver, Steven D. Kucharski, 48, of Las Vegas, Nevada and the passenger, Michael J. Pierzykowski, 32, of Los Angeles, CA were arrested
for possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance – Psilocybin, possession of drug  paraphernalia, and no drug tax stamp.

Both occupants were lodged in Seward County Detention Center
