LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities say a Seward man died after a shed fire at his home in rural Seward County.

Emergency crews responded Saturday afternoon to an engulfed shed in the area of 210 Rd. and Hwy. 34.

Seward deputies arrived and were told a man was missing from the home.

Deputies found the body of 70-year-old William Peters inside the burned building, according to the Seward County Sheriff’s Office.

SCSO says it is believed Peters was involved in a tractor accident that ultimately caused the fire.
