LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- As many know, today is Cyber Monday, and it is expected to be the biggest one yet.

Holiday shoppers are expected to break all records for online shopping in a single day.

With all the online shopping and deals happening, retailers are worried about “Shipageddon”, a crush of orders which could cripple delivery services and keep them from delivering packages on time.

FedEx is hiring 70,000 workers for the holiday season, while UPS will hire more than 100,000 temporary employees.

Experts say shop and ship early, or buy online and pick-up at the store.

Retailers have already seen record online sales over the Thanksgiving weekend, they’re now rolling out major deals on everything from electronics to kitchen appliances.

Last year, Americans spent $9.4 billion on Cyber Monday. Today, consumers are expected to spend upwards of 35% more, making today the largest online sales day ever.
