Six Husker baseball players enter transfer portal

Six Nebraska baseball players are leaving the program and are entering the transfer portal after a season that saw the Huskers finish 10th in the Big Ten.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Six Nebraska baseball players are leaving the program and are entering the transfer portal after a season that saw the Huskers finish 10th in the Big Ten.

Leighton Banjoff announced his transfer on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, five more players, Braxton Bragg, Jack Steil, Ethan Bradford, Tyler Palmer and Quinn Mason entered the transfer portal and will pursue other options in their collegiate careers.

Banjoff hit .233 with two home runs and 17 RBI in 38 starts for Nebraska this spring. Bragg, a right-handed pitcher, was 2-6 in 17 appearances this year, posting a 3.28 ERA. Steil started 21 games for Nebraska, hitting .176 on the year.
