Sizzling hot weekend forecast

A dry forecast is in store for overnight tonight with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the lower 70s. As we head into the weekend, Mother Nature cranks up the heat! Actual air temperatures tomorrow will be in the lower 90s, but it will feel like the triple digits with high dew point temperatures and humidity. Overnight into Sunday morning, northeast Nebraska is expected to have a few strong to severe storms. These storms aren’t expected to make it near the Capital City as of now, and southeast Nebraska should remain dry. The triple digits heat index values last into Sunday until we finally see temperatures drop going into the start of next week. Several rain chances are still scattered throughout the 10 Day Outlook.
