Skies taking on a different look for Friday
Temperatures have been bitterly cold over the last few days, with light accumulating snow being observed on some of those days.
However, we’re approaching the light at the end of the tunnel – figuratively and literally. We’re going to see a lot more sunlight on Friday, without many clouds obscuring the view. We’ll be warmer compared to previous days, with high temperatures in the upper-20s in Lincoln. A few 30s are possible in some locations.
We can’t rule out a few clouds overnight and into Saturday morning, but we should be clear for the majority of the night. We’ll continue the warming trend, with a low near 11° on Saturday morning.
The weekend forecast looks spectacular! We’ll continue to see an abundance of sunshine. Our weather pattern returns to what it’s been like most of winter – dry and warm. By Sunday, we’re looking at highs back in the 50s.
We’ll have a few disturbances to watch next week, so there may be some temperature variation from day to day. That said, we’ll be well above average as far as temperatures are concerned next week.
Our next potential rainmaker shouldn’t arrive until the end of the next week, and there’s still plenty of time to see how that will exactly play out. Otherwise, we’re dry most of next week.
