Soggy & cool start to the week 5/23/2022

Temperatures will struggle to warm today thanks to cloudy skies and the chance for scattered showers. Highs will only reach the low to mid-60s as a result, making it feel more like April. While the chance for rain is possible today, overall chances are looking pretty small. Dry air near the surface will likely evaporate most of the rain before it reaches the ground, but I still recommend brining an umbrella just to be safe. Isolated showers are possible overnight with lows in the upper 40s and low 50s. A better chance of rain is likely during the day tomorrow, with over an inch of rain forecasted by the beginning of Wednesday. This will keep temperatures very cool for May in the low to mid-50s tomorrow. Southeast NE dries out for the end of the week, and the return of sunshine boosts temperatures back above average. Highs could reach the low 90s by Saturday!
