Soggy Wednesday forecast with flooding potential 10/27/2021

We are off to a soggy start for your Wednesday morning as scattered showers and thunderstorms are pushing through the area. Temperatures are still mild in the 50s due to cloud coverage from overnight and wind speeds are gusty for most. Make sure you send the kids off to the bus stop with their rain jackets, because an umbrella won’t do well with the wind. Rain will stick around all day today and highs will struggle to warm as a result. Most of southeast NE will only see highs in the mid to upper 50s today. The wind will change directions by the afternoon and blow out of the northwest with gusts up to 30 mph. Flooding is also a concern today due to the large amount of rain parts of the area received on Sunday. Rain will gradually push out of the area overnight tonight and winds will calm down a bit. We dry out the next few days but breezy conditions stick around and highs remain in the upper 50s and low 60s.
