Southeast Lincoln house fire causes upwards of $200,000 in damage


LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A fire caused at least $200,000 in damage to a Lincoln home Thursday morning.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue (LFR) responded to a house fire at 6849 Glass Ridge Pl. just after 10:30 am. Fire crews reported smoke and flames showing from the single-family home.

All residents were out of the house at the time.

LFR says the fire began in the kitchen and spread into the attic. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Total damages are estimated to be between $200,000 and $250,000.
