Speeding motorcyclist hid from troopers in Lincoln home, authorities say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man tried to hide in a home Saturday after he led troopers on a chase in Lincoln, the Nebraska State Patrol says.
Around 9:20 p.m., a trooper tried pulling over a motorcyclist near 27th and Superior Streets.
But the driver – later identified as 21-year-old Alejandro Martinez – sped away, the patrol says.
The trooper did not chase Martinez because a patrol helicopter was tracking the motorcycle.
Later on, Martinez stopped and went into a home near Seventh and Y Streets.
When troopers arrived, Martinez refused to come out of the home, according to the patrol.
Eventually, Martinez came out, and troopers took him into custody.
He was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving and obstructing a peace officer.
