UPDATE: Stabbing in downtown Lincoln leaves one man in critical condition 

The man was rushed to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition, authorities said.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – On Saturday, April 3, a man in Lincoln was stabbed three times by an unknown assailant, police have now reported identifying his attacker.

23-year-old Ali N. Alder has been cited and lodged for 2nd Degree Assault after LPD reported processing all the evidence and interviewing Alder.

April 3: 

A man is in critical condition after he was stabbed early Saturday morning in downtown Lincoln.

Authorities said shortly after midnight an altercation occurred between two groups of people near 16th and Q Streets. A knife was pulled and the victim was stabbed, according to police.

The man was rushed to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition, authorities said.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The incident remains under investigation and limited information has been released.
