State virus hospitalizations dip, remain near restriction threshold

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Nebraska remains high after dipping over the weekend.
State data on Monday showed 976 people being treated for the virus statewide.
The number is down slightly from Friday’s record high of 987 hospitalizations.
Hospitalizations continue to rise steadily, more than doubling in the past month.
State data shows approximately 30% of hospital beds remain open, as well as 25% of ICU beds.
The number of hospitalizations remains close to the threshold at which Gov. Pete Ricketts says he will implement more restrictions.
