STORM ALERT TEAM: Winter Weather Advisory for Lincoln area Sunday morning through Monday commute

The Channel 8 Storm Team is working around the clock to track this system and bring you updated snowfall amounts as we get them. Now is time to prepare if you aren't ready for the first snow of the season!
Winter Weather Advisory

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for eastern Nebraska starting Sunday at 7am.

The counties included in this advisory are Shelby, Pottawattamie, Douglas, Sarpy, Seward, Lancaster, Cass, Saline, Including the cities of Harlan, Council Bluffs, Omaha, Bellevue,Papillion, La Vista, Seward, Milford, Lincoln, Plattsmouth, Crete, and Wilber.

The National Weather Service says the accumulation could cause slick roads. The advisory goes until 7am Monday morning.
