Storm chances for the rest of the week
Scattered storms are going to be possible the next few days. There will be a severe weather threat for western Nebraska Wednesday, then for much of the state on Thursday. Temperatures are expected to hover in the upper 70s and lower 80s for the rest of the week.
Storms rolled through Tuesday morning and dropped some heavy rain in south central Nebraska. Above shows that most of us didn’t see a lot of rain, but some is better than none!
Temperature are going to try for 80 degrees in Lincoln on Wednesday. Storms will be possible on and off.
Above is what the radar may look like for Wednesday. The better chance for strong to severe storms will be near the panhandle.
Because of that severe chance on Wednesday, there is a Level 1 and 2 “Marginal” and “Slight” Risk for severe storms Wednesday evening.
On Thursday, several waves of precipitation will move through with each wave having a chance for severe storms.
Because of the several different waves of storms on Thursday, the entire state has a Marginal and Slight Risk for severe storms.
