Storm chances increasing
Storms have formed across much of the state and we have seen a couple of severe thunderstorm warnings already this evening. The area highlighted below will have the best chance for severe storms to form through the next few hours (through midnight). You can keep track of severe warnings in this link: klkntv.com/severe-weather-alerts
Scattered showers and storms are going to be possible on and off through the next several days. The storms will be most likely during the evening hours and will be fairly widespread. Not everybody will see rain, but the chance will be there.
Temperatures will be well above average (lower 80s) through the weekend and into next week. The cooler air holds off until the middle of next week… just in time for fall to begin!
For Friday, temperatures will be at or above average for highs and the wind will continue to be in place. It’ll be out of the south at 10 to 20 mph. Scattered storms will be possible very early Friday morning, but the better chance will be in the evening and overnight hours, into Saturday morning.
