Storm potential: September 22-23, 2025
Strong to severe storms are possible Monday night into early Tuesday. Hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes will be possible. The area highlighted in the yellow, level 2 “Slight Risk” has the better chance at seeing severe weather.

Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for timing, location, and duration of the storm potential.
The area shaded in yellow below with the black hash marks has been upgraded to a very large hail risk. This area will have the potential to see hail 2″ in diameter, which is bigger than golf balls.
There is a 2% risk for a tornado Monday evening and night. This is not a high risk, but it’s not zero. This usually means one or two isolated and brief tornadoes can form as storms get going early in the cycle. Not everyone will see a tornado, but those in the green shaded area should have a way to be alerted should one form in their area.
There is also the potential for damaging wind in excess of 60 mph, especially in the yellow shaded area below.
