Sunny Start, Isolated Storms Possible on Sunday Evening

Df Next 2 Days

Sunshine will continue for the majority of our Memorial Day weekend in southeastern Nebraska. Although that will not be the case for everyone. Temperatures will jump to the 80s on Sunday and stick around into early next week.

There is a chance for an isolated strong to severe storm from south-central to northeastern Nebraska. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 4) of severe weather is in place, with the main concerns being large hail and damaging winds. A few hailstones up to golf ball-sized cannot be ruled out in the strongest storms.

The latest run of StormCast shows chances for storms wrapping up on Saturday evening for central Nebraska. Storms will form again on Sunday afternoon and continue into the early morning hours on Monday. A lack of moisture in southeastern Nebraska will work to keep us dry both south and east of the Lincoln area.

Df Forecast Lows Statewide

Lows on Sunday morning will be slightly cooler for late May, ranging from the upper 40s to the lower 50s.

Df Skycast Tonight

Heading into Saturday evening, not only are we looking at clear skies, but winds should not be an issue either. It should be a pleasant night for any outdoor plans!

Df State Tomorrow High

Warmer weather moves into the central plains on Sunday afternoon with highs in the 80s across the state. As we go throughout the afternoon, we may see a stray 90-degree mark or two.

Df Day Planner With High Pivot

We will stay sunny for the majority of the day on Sunday in the Capital City. We will want to keep an eye on the radar for any plans after dinner time, as showers and possibly a thunderstorm will try to move in from the west.

Df 10 Day Forecast

Warmer weather sticks around for the start of next week. Following Memorial Day, chances for precipitation increase late Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are expecting a bit of a traffic jam in the upper air pattern for the middle to later portions of the week, which will fluctuate temperatures from the upper 70s to the lower 80s.
