Sunny, Summerlike Weekend Ahead
After a cloudy close to the work week, we are looking at plenty of sunshine this weekend in southeast Nebraska. Highs will be close to average for mid-July over the coming days, before continuing to warm up next week.
StormCast shows the chance for a few areas of patchy fog early on Saturday morning, with mostly sunny skies to follow.
Low temperatures will fall to the 60s for most of the state tonight under partly cloudy skies. While winds will not likely be a factor in any evening plans, the humidity will stick around.
A sprinkle or two may be possible, but the majority of our evening in Lincoln will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies and seasonal temperatures.
Expect afternoon highs to be a few degrees warmer on Saturday, with temperatures returning to the 80s and 90s across the state.
Cloud cover will decrease through the morning hours, leaving us with mostly sunny skies on Saturday afternoon in the Capital City.
It will be a great day for the lake or the pool on Saturday, just be sure to remember the sunscreen!
Long-term forecasts have hinted toward a warm-up for a while, and it looks to arrive late next week. Highs will build to the upper 90s, and heat index values will likely try for the triple digits. We are also monitoring a small chance for precipitation heading into next weekend.
