Suspect arrested for false imprisonment after missing woman found

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — On Aug. 13, around 3:30 p.m., Lincoln Police Department (LPD) Officers were dispatched due to a reported disturbance.

Witnesses at the scene and video surveillance led officers to determine a female had been assaulted by a male suspect and forced into a Ford Expedition.

LPD officers were able to identify the suspect as Tate Wright, 46, of Lincoln.

Through surveillance video, officers were able to locate the victim and Wright at a local hotel. Officers then contacted both at the hotel room rented by the victim.

According to LPD, there was a brief struggle before Wright was taken into custody. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault.

Wright was transported to the Lancaster County Jail and cited for first-degree false imprisonment and domestic assault.
