Woman assaults officers, causing minor injuries

Officers contacted a woman who was exiting a backyard, the woman matched the description of the caller.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln police arrested a woman after she assaulted officers by kicking them, causing minor injuries.

On Tuesday, Lincoln police recieved a call to a residence near the 3400 block of C Street on a check welfare.

Officers contacted a woman who was exiting a backyard, the woman matched the caller’s description.

The 26-year-old resident told police the woman had tried to enter her home and had begun to rummage through her detached garage.

Officers tried to take the woman into custody, she began to kick them in their torso, legs and back. After the struggle, officers successfuly took the woman into custody.

LPD arrested 36-year-old Monica Hinn for 2 counts of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and criminal trespassing.
