Suspect identified in UNL sexual assault case, still on the loose
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The suspect of a recent case involving fondling and groping without consent case on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) campus has been identified.

Felony charges have been formally filed against Joseph A. Favata, 32, of Andover, Kansas. Favata is facing charges of attempted first-degree sexual assault and first-degree false imprisonment.
The incident occurred in the early morning of Sept. 29. According to court documents, Favata drove around UNL campus, getting out of his vehicle temporarily and hiding behind other vehicles before continuing driving.
Favata then reportedly parked his vehicle and got back out, walking around until coming into contact with the victim.
According to the UNL Police Department, they believe Favata is in Wichita, Kansas and are working with Kansas law enforcement to locate him.
