Tecumseh prison inmate serving time for sexual assault of a child dies

TECUMSEH, Neb. (KLKN) — An inmate at Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) has died.

Dennis Schneider, 78, was sentenced on Aug. 30, 2023.

Schneider was serving a 25-to-30 year sentence for attempted first-degree sexual assault of a child.

According to Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, the cause of death has not been determined. They said Schneider was being treated for a medical condition
