Teen arrested after fleeing from Lincoln Police in stolen car

Lincoln Police arrested a 15-year-old male for allegedly stealing a car and fleeing from officers. 

LPD said shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, a 19-year-old woman told officers she left her vehicle unlocked and running while she went inside her home in the 1600 block of North 23rd Street. 

About 20 minutes later, the woman came back outside and found her car had been stolen. 

Around 8:30 p.m., an officer saw the reportedly stolen vehicle near 32nd and T Street and tried to stop the driver. 

Police said the driver lost control and went onto the curb before fleeing on foot. 

Officers set up a perimeter and caught the teen. 

He was arrested for felony theft, willful reckless driving, refuse to comply with the lawful order of a police officer.
