Teen arrested following pursuit from Gretna to Greenwood

A 17-year-old was arrested on a number of charges after leading Nebraska State Patrol troopers on a pursuit Wednesday morning.
NSP said the pursuit began around 7:15 a.m. on I-80 near Gretna and ended near Greenwood.
A Chevy Equinox, later discovered to be stolen, traveling at 110 miles per hour westbound fled from troopers. The driver was weaving through traffic and passing vehicles on the shoulder, reaching speeds of up to 120 miles per hour, according to an NSP spokesman.
Eventually, the driver lost control and crashed into a ditch. The teen driver and a passenger were arrested. A firearm was found in the car.
The passenger was taken to Bryan West for non life-threatening injuries suffered in the crash.
