Teens break into Grand Island home and share Snapchat video of the crime with victim
It's a case of revenge after the victim stole items from one of the suspects, according to police
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) — Grand Island Police say a couple of 17-year-olds broke into a home near south Greenwich Street and west Fonner Park Road on Thursday, before sharing a Snapchat video of what they’d done with the victim.
We’re told the teens then stole about $700 in items, including a video game console and expensive earbuds.
Police later caught up with the teens where they admitted to stealing the victim’s belongings as an act of revenge.
One of the suspects claims the victim previously stole some of his items.
Police say the same teen who made that admission was also caught with marijuana and drug paraphernalia on him.
Both have been cited for trespassing, while the one teen faces additional charges for possession.
