LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – If you are looking for something festive to do this weekend, The 402 Band is taking on the Lied Center’s virtual stage by making it merry and bright with their high-energy music.

The exact showtime is 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 19th. Grab your Santa hat and dancing shoes, clear some space in the living room, and get ready for Christmas classics, party favorites, and much more. Executive Director Bill Stephan says The 402 Band is one of the most popular in Nebraska, so you don’t want to miss out. You can buy tickets on their website.

Virtual events have become the new reality since the beginning of the pandemic.

Stephan says the Lied Center was the first university performing arts center to open in 2020, back in July.

In November, they suspended public attendance at in-person events for the remainder of 2020. Stephan says he hopes to have in-person attendance back by the end of January.

The Lied Center received a grant back in August, Stephan says this helped them a lot when it came to high definition broadcasting performances.
