The Lied Center boasts four big shows coming this month

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Bill Stephan of the Lied Center stopped by the Channel 8 studio on Friday to give an update on what’s coming to the stage in October.

There are some big shows on the docket.

First, Danny Elfman brings his music from screen to stage with a good dose of nostalgia, performing as Jack Skellington of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and other characters in “Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton.”

On Oct. 16 or 17, venture to Hundred Acre Woods with Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet and the rest of the gang in “Winnie the Pooh,” a great show for the whole family.

On Oct. 20, the Lied is bringing back D.C.’s Reflecting Fools, who are putting the mock in democracy with political comedy that razzes both sides and pulls no punches.

“Chicago,” one of the most loved musicals, even after 25 years, is taking the stage Oct. 25-28. Enjoy cocktails and a meal before the final show on Friday.

Head to the Lied Center for Performing Arts’ website to buy tickets for these October shows and the rest of the season.
