Three Charged In Shooting Of Grand Island Man

Three men have been charged in the shooting death of a 24-year-old Grand Island man.

First-degree murder and other charges were filed Friday in Hall County Court against 24-year-old Abdi Abdullahi Mohamed, 28-year-old Ibrahim Farah and 20-year-old Mohamed Said Abdulkadir.

They're accused of shooting Nyual Majak Angok Mathor in the head on Thursday morning.

Hall County prosecutors say the three suspects went to Mathor's apartment to confront another man, Arkanjelo Manyut Kot, who had assisted police in arresting a friend. Mohamed allegedly shot at Kot, but missed and hit Mathok instead.

Authorities say the suspects have ties to gangs based in Columbus, Ohio.
