LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three street projects in Lincoln will begin on Monday, city officials say.

South Seventh Street from J to L Streets will move to one lane because of Lincoln Electric System relocating overhead power lines.

North and southbound traffic will move to the east side of the street, according to city officials.  They will not be allowing parking on either side of Seventh Street.

The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of August.

North 16th from Q to P Streets will be closed for a water main installation.  The current water main was installed in the 1900s and is showing signs of deterioration.

The project is scheduled to be completed in July, city officials say.

North 98th Street from Waterview to Moonlight Drives will be closed for sidewalk curb ramp and median installation.

The project will connect the two neighborhoods on either side of North 98th Street.  This will provide safer pedestrian access to a new school opening in the area, according to city officials.

The project is scheduled to be completed at the end of May.

Digital signs will alert drivers to upcoming work and closures.

More information on street closures can be found at lincoln.ne.gov/closures.
