Thursday rain leads to Friday morning fog

Low level moisture is increasing over southeast Nebraska Wednesday evening.  This will lead to areas of drizzle for the evening before changing over to rain showers Wednesday night.  While instability will be low, there will be a chance for a rumble of thunder to be heard.

The low level moisture and low overcast cloud deck will also keep temperatures relatively steady overnight.  Lows will only be in the upper 40°s to around 50°.

Scattered showers, and an embedded thunderstorm, will be possible throughout Thursday.  Don’t expect an all day washout like last Monday.  There will be dry hours mixed in through the day.  Temperatures will only top out in the lower to middle 50°s.

Rain will depart southeast Nebraska by midnight Friday morning.  In its wake, low level moisture will remain in place from rain that falls Thursday.  This should produce areas of fog Friday morning.

Sunshine returns to the area Friday afternoon as skies turn partly cloudy.  The area should be able to enjoy sunshine as well Saturday before another chance for rain returns Sunday.
