Traffic delays expected for Northeast Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — UPDATE: Due to rainfall Monday, bridge girders delayed their journey across Lincoln to Tuesday.
The route and time frames remain the same. Commuters should expect traffic delays between 8-9 am and 2-3 pm as Lincoln Police officers escort the vehicles across town.
Watch out for traffic delays Monday, May 17 as concrete bridge girders will be transported through Lincoln to the South Beltway Project.
Between 8-9 am and 2-3 pm, the Lincoln Police Department will be escorting three girder transport vehicles from N 63rd Street and Cornhusker Hwy to 27th Street, then south to the project location near Saltillo Rd.
Intersections along this route will be closed while the transport vehicles pass though. Southbound travelers on 27th Street are encouraged to find an alternate route.
