Tri-County takes down David City at the buzzer

DEWITT, Neb. (KLKN) – The Tri-County Trojans battled the Scouts from David City on Friday night.

The game went down to the wire and ended on a last-second field goal by Tri-County to earn the 24-21 win.

With less than a minute left in the first half, the Scouts led 14-0.

But after they gave up the ball on a fumble, the Trojans’ Pierce Damrow took a handoff and went down the sideline and into the end zone.

The Scouts took a 14-7 lead into halftime.

Tri-County had the ball to start the third quarter.

Quarterback Dustin Kapke kept it himself and ran to the other side of the field, getting past the defenders for the touchdown.

But a missed extra point kept David City on top 14-13.

Yet the Trojans came back, getting the win on a last-second field goal.
