Tri-City Storm honoring, raising money for veterans

With Veterans Day just around the corner, the Tri-City Storm and Viaero Center are doing their part to honor our heroes during their Military Appreciation Night.

Storm head coach Anthony Noreen said flags will be given away to the first 1,000 fans that come into the arena.

The team will also be wearing specialty military appreciation helmets, which, along with the team’s jerseys, will be auctioned off after the game.

Proceeds will be benefiting local veterans associations.

“Everyone within our organization has a tremendous amount of pride and a tremendous amount of respect, and thankfulness for those that have been active in military, or those that are active in military right now,” said Noreen. “We think it’s kind of our little way that we could help give back to the cause.”

Tickets are still available for Saturday evening’s event.

They can be purchased here.
