Troopers seize 155 pounds of marijuana, THC cartridges in I-80 stop

A California man was arrested after authorities reportedly found more than 150 pounds of marijuana and hundreds of THC vape cartridges in a traffic stop on I-80.

The Nebraska State Patrol said a trooper stopped a vehicle traveling at 98 miles per hour near Lexington Friday evening. 

A search of the vehicle turned up 155 pounds of marijuana and 439 THC vape cartridges. The combined value of the products is estimated at more than $500,000.

The driver, Michael Banks, 27, of San Bernardino, California, was arrested for possession of marijuana – more than one pound, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, and no drug tax stamp. He was lodged in Dawson County Jail.
