Amid all the concerns regarding the outbreak of coronavirus, one man decided to do what he could to cheer up workers at an assisted living facility in Lincoln.

The man – who didn’t know any of the staff – stood outside The Independence House at Northview with two signs and cheered workers on as they went in and out of the building.

The signs said “COVID-19 doesn’t stand a chance when hero’s like you show up for duty” and “Not all heroes wear a cape, the true heroes wear scrubs.”

Ashley Bryan works at the facility and shared a photo of the man with Channel 8 Eyewitness News. Bryan said the signs were priceless and made the staff feel incredible and empowered.

“I can’t express how much our staff loved seeing that and hearing him say thank you,” she said. “Meant a lot.”
