Turkey permits available for purchase in August

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Hunters across Nebraska will be able to purchase turkey permits for the fall beginning Aug. 9.

Hunters are allowed to harvest one turkey of either sex with archery equipment or a shotgun per permit. Hunters can have up to two permits each during the fall season.

Turkey permits are valid statewide from Sept. 15 2021 through Jan. 31, 2022.¬†There’s no minimum age requirement.

Permits can be purchased online or at Nebraska Game and Parks Commission permitting offices beginning at 1 p.m. on Aug. 9.
