Turning drier and cooler on Sunday

Clouds have been increasing for much of the day on Saturday. As of Saturday evening, a band of showers has been moving into the area.

We expect showers to remain possible for some on Saturday night, with the best chance being for areas in the southeast corner of the state. The farther northwest you go, the lower your odds of seeing rain.

We’ll keep clouds overnight and into Sunday morning, but the rain should be gone by sunrise. We expect overnight lows to be near freezing in Lincoln.

Saturday Night Forecast

Clouds will gradually decrease throughout the day on Sunday. While it will be windy to start, wind speeds should gradually diminish through the day as well. It will be a cooler day overall, with highs in the middle and upper-40s.

Sunday Forecast

If traveling on Sunday, there will be rain in Missouri during the morning. That area of rain will pull northeast towards the Great Lakes region and New England by Sunday afternoon. Travel within Nebraska appears to be just fine on Sunday.

Sunday Travel Forecast

Monday looks like another very nice day with sunshine and 50s in the forecast. However, our next storm system arrives on Tuesday.

That will deliver cooler air for the rest of the week. This change in pattern also comes with a chance for some light rain early Tuesday, possibly followed by a transition to snow. We’ll be keeping an eye on this system in the coming days.
