Damage was visible from the front of the duplex as multiple firefighters worked to combat the flames.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Multiple engines with Lincoln Fire & Rescue (LFR) responded to 4425 Colfax Cir. shortly before 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Heavy smoke and flames were coming from both garages of a duplex.

LFR says all residents made it out safely and no one was injured. However, one cat was reported to be still inside the duplex but has yet to be found.

The fire was contained to the garages, with minor fire damage into the living space. Both sides of the duplex did see significant smoke damage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Damage to the duplex was significant along with two vehicles that were parked in attached garages.

LFR estimates the structural damage to cost $150,000, plus $100,000 worth of damage done to the contents of the duplex. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
