Two arrested in task force operation in Kearney

According to investigators with the Central Nebraska Drug and Safe Streets Task Force, they arrested two people on multiple drug-related charges, following an investigation in Kearney.

Authorities say the operation included investigators from the Nebraska State Patrol, Kearney Police Department, Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office and Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

They say on Friday, January 3rd, investigators executed a search warrant on a home at 1000 4th Avenue in Kearney.

While conducting the search, investigators report they located methamphetamine, hydrocodone pills, marijuana, digital scales and drug paraphernalia.

They also found an automatic knife at the home.

49-year-old Katherina Dydel and 42-year-old Christopher Hines, both of Kearney, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, more than one ounce, possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony and possession of a paraphernalia.

Dydel was also arrested on a warrant for three counts of distribution of methamphetamine.

Both were booked in Buffalo County Jail.
