Two caught after robbing man of watch, gold chain in Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two men were arrested Saturday after police say they robbed and assaulted a man in Lincoln.

Around 8:30 p.m., officers were sent to the area of 12th and F Streets on a report of an assault.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the 21-year-old victim, who pointed them toward two men on the sidewalk.

The men, 60-year-old Alonzo Green and 28-year-old Troy Williams, were walking away from the scene, police say.

The victim told police that the men assaulted him and took his watch and gold chain.

Officers found Green with a 6-inch-blade knife and 2.1 grams of marijuana, according to police.

He was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

Williams was also arrested on suspicion of robbery.

The victim’s gold chain and watch were recovered, police said.
