Two injured after shooting near 30th and Vine Street

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — According to the Lincoln Police Department two people were shot near North 30th and Vine Street on New Year’s Day at 3:02 AM.

After being dispatched to the area, LPD found a 26-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds inside the home and a 27-year-old man with one gunshot wound outside the home. ‘

Both men were taken to the hospital for their injuries. The 27-year-old man has been released from the hospital and the 26-year-old man remains at the hospital in critical yet stable condition.

Police are not releasing the names of the victims at this time.

The crime scene is under investigation and LPD asks that drivers avoid the areas between Vine Street 30 to 31 as the streets will be closed in both directions.
