Two Lincoln streets to close for construction beginning Saturday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Portions of two streets will close beginning Sunday and Monday, Lincoln Transportation and Utilities said.

Saturday Road Closure

Saturday morning at 7 a.m. M Street will shut down between South 12th and South 13th Streets for a construction project at the U.S. Bank building.  The portion of the road will reopen around 6 p.m. Sunday.

There will be no access to roads or sidewalks in the area while the project is completed.

The parking garage exit onto “M” Street will be redirected to South 12th Street.

Monday Road Closure

On Monday, North 14th Street between Dawes Avenue and Adams Street will be closed for asphalt and concrete repair.

There will still be access to homes and businesses and sidewalks will remain open.

The project is expected to be complete by Friday, August 12.
