LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department has reported two more presumed monkeypox cases in the county, bringing the total to three.

Right now, tests are being done to confirm the cases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The health department said it’s investigating close contacts and will notify those who may have been exposed.

Officials say the risk to the public is still considered low, but the community should be aware that the virus is here.
